With over 20 years of experience, including managing psychotherapy and consulting practices, Ken Haman has ample knowledge in the field of psychology. Mr. Haman holds a B.A. in business administration (where his senior thesis was on stress management in the workplace), graduate degrees in psychology and theology, and certifications in clinical hypnosis and neuro linguistic programming.

Melissa Francik

Melissa Francik graduated from Austin College and then served as a teacher in Houston, Texas, as part of the Teach for America program. Francik completed a combined dietetic internship and master’s degree through the VA Medical Center and Texas Woman’s University. Currently, she works at the Pullman Regional Hospital as a Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach and Weight Management Specialist. Francik is passionate about helping people improve their health and quality of life working with people of all ages in English and Spanish, using nutrition to promote health and wellness in our community.

Creating Resilient Families, Help from Pullman School District

Jessica Viergutz-Cavagnetto

Dr. Jessica Viergutz is a licensed clinical psychologist who works as a school-based mental health therapist for the Pullman Public Schools. Dr. Viergutz earned her doctorate in clinical psychology in 2003 and has since been working with children, adolescents, and families in residential, outpatient, and school settings. Originally from the Midwest, Dr. Viergutz has happily enjoyed the mild winters of the Palouse since 2012.

Francis Benjamin

Francis Benjamin, together with Heidi, has found Pullman a great place to raise three children. Francis works for WSU managing IT, researching legislative civility and teaching real estate. He is active in the community volunteering for numerous organizations, co-leading Pullman 2040 and on the boards of the Chamber, Kiwanis, Pullman Community Council on Aging and the Palouse Knowledge Corridor. He previously served for more than a decade on the Pullman City Council.

Jean Dunn

CFP Jean Dunn is a Vice President of T. Rowe Price Investment Services, Inc., and is a frequent speaker at industry events. Dunn is passionate about how the shifts in intergenerational wealth and family dynamics influence how Americans save, invest and plan for their futures. She is a certified Financial Planner with a B.S. in Political Science from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. On a personal note, Jean lives in Annapolis with her pups and enjoys yoga, paddle boarding and anything on or near the water.

Mathew Vetter, Regional Vice President – Ivy Distributors, Inc. has been with Waddell & Reed since 2015 and earned his undergraduate degree at Northwest Missouri State University. As a professional speaker, he enjoys delivering important and fresh information to people and helping them apply it to their lives in a meaningful way. Vetter and his wife live in the Columbia River Gorge and enjoy exploring the great natural places the Northwest has to offer. They love hiking so much that their Golden-Doodle is named “Emory” after the first hike they took in Texas.

Susan E. Kay is vice president and director of business development at MFS Fund Distributors, Inc. Kay has more than 31 years of experience in the financial services industry and is often invited to speak on subjects ranging from building and protecting wealth, to handling the challenges presented by estate planning issues. Topics like: caring for aging parents, teaching families about philanthropy, and legacy planning. She knows how to successfully “translate” complex concepts into everyday terms. She has lectured at universities, national conferences, and public forums. Dr. Aaron McMurray serves as Chief Strategy Officer for Innovia Foundation, a community foundation that serves Eastern Washington and North Idaho with a mission of igniting generosity that transforms lives and communities. A longtime resident of the Inland Northwest region, Aaron’s passion for philanthropy and leadership goes back to his first job out of college. While leading a non-profit organization, a generous donor made a gift that transformed the work of the organization and revealed a simple, but powerful truth: generosity has the capability to transform communities! Aaron and his wife Darcy, have four children and live in Colbert, WA.
